Class Compositions
Each year, we invest significant time in the deliberate construction and composition of classes. In determining class compositions, we consider:
1) information from enrolment interviews;
2) each student's learning and social-emotional needs;
3) the dynamics and relationships across and within each year level and subject cohort;
4) student information and data, both summative and anecdotal;
5) course preferences;
6) participation in Excellence Programs; and
7) the requirements of each subject and cohort in terms of resources and staff.
There may be times when we are unable to avoid any pre-existing issues, or friendship or parental requests. We ask families to consider the 'bigger picture' and to trust that teachers and staff will support all students in their classes in managing any of your concerns. If there is a critical issue relating to your child's class, please email Principal, Mrs Amor with details for her consideration.
