IT Update
GETTING CONNECTED @ FOXWELL
Mr Harper, our IT Manager and his team of helpers have had an extraordinarily busy week onboarding the iPads of our 260 Year 7 students and the many new Year 8 and 9 students to our school network and learning platforms.
If your Year 7 child missed this session with Mr Harper, or if they are a new student and have not yet onboarded their iPad, they should visit him at the Learning Hub to complete this very important process.
Mr Harper is also available during WIN time before and after school and all break times to assist with general IT and connection issues.
TECHNOLOGY USE AT HOME
The safety and wellbeing of our students is our priority at Foxwell. Our online habits and behaviours affect our wellbeing and can pose risks to our physical safety and brain health, if not managed well.
As a school we educate our students to understand not only the benefits that technology brings, but also the risks associated with too much technology use and/or dangerous or negative online behaviours. We regularly encourage our parents to do the same at home.
Here is a brilliant way for our families to have this conversation in your own home. I urge you to consider developing your own Family Technology Plan. Research shows the benefits are significant for you, your children, and your family dynamics. Thank you Dolly's Dream.
