iPad Set Up for Day One
It is an expectation that all students arrive on Day One of the school year with their iPad set up and ready for operation. This includes taking it out of the box and turning it on for the first time, setting up an Apple ID and installing the required Apps from the App List. Most importantly, iPads need to have progressed past the initialy set up state and be ready to download apps. Without this, devices can not be onboarded to our network on Day One.
The following steps will assist in ensuring iPads are ready for the start of school year:
1. Create or sign into your Apple ID. More information can be found at appleid.apple.com. Click on 'Create Apple ID'.
2. Download an App for the first time.
2. Have your iPad signed into the Apple ID.
4. Create a passcode.
3. Have the ‘InTune Company Portal’ app downloaded to your iPad (this app is used to onboard your iPad to our network)
For exisiting students:
1. Please update your iPad to the latest iPadOS version: iPadOS 16.1.1 or newer.
2. Please update your iPad apps and have the ‘InTune Company Portal’ installed. This will assist in onboarding to the school network in the new year.
3. For students with new iPads, please have the iPad signed into an Apple ID and the ‘InTune Company Portal’ app installed.
