Foxwell State Secondary College is proud to offer four Programs of Excellence to enrich student learning experiences and provide a world of opportunity.

Our Programs of Excellence include:

• ALP (Advanced Learning Program) Academic Excellence Program

• Creative Voices Program of Excellence

• Sporting Minds: High Performance Sports Program of Excellence

• Gen-STEM (Girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Program of Excellence

Students in this program are expected to attend two scheduled lessons per week in Year 7 and 8 and one scheduled lesson per week in Year 9 and 10. Year 7 and 8 lesson one will take place during the students daily timetabled Enrich class. In 2023 this will take place during Period 4 on a Tuesday (1.50pm - 3.00pm).

In addition, students in Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 are expected to attend a scheduled class outside of the standard school day. These lessons take place as per the following schedule:

Wednesday 7.45am - 8.45am

Year 9 and 10 Sporting Minds

Thursday 7.45am - 8.45am

Year 7 and 8 Sporting Minds

Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 ALP

Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 Gen-STEM

Friday 7.45am - 8.45am

Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 Creative Voices

Attendance at both lessons is mandatory and are an obligation of the program. 

Programs will commence from Week 2 of Term 1.
