Creative Voices 2023
"The purpose of an Arts education is not to produce more artists and actors. The real purpose of an Arts education is to create complex human beings capable of leading successful and productive lives in society". Dana Gioia
Creative Voices has well and truly kicked off this year for our Year 7 and 8 students. The energy from these students and their teachers was incredible. We are really looking forward to a great year with many exciting opportunities and experiences for our students. The Creative Voices team this year includes Mrs Lauren Riches (Year 10), Mrs Tara Goldhardt (Year 9), Miss Paige Wilkie (Year 8) and Mr Jackson Kook (Year 7). Each of these wonderful teachers bring a wealth of experience in the Arts and will provide our students with incredible experiences.
A reminder that morning classes begin in Week 2 and this year they have moved to Friday mornings. These sessions begin at 7.45am and run through until the start of Period One. It is important that students are on time and prepared for their Creative Voices lesson and that they have had a healthy and filling breakfast. Year 7 and 8 morning sessions will run in the E block Drama classrooms and Year 9 and 10 students will have their lesson in the PAC.
If your student is not currently in an Excellence program at Foxwell and they have expressed an interest in Creative Voices, please send me an email cwils138@eq.edu.au with their information and I will forward an audition pack.
