Head of Year Update
It has been an exceptionally busy three weeks as I have got to know not only the Year 9 cohort, but Foxwell SSC as a whole better. In my experience at other schools over the years, it is clear that collaborative partnerships between the school and parents or carers help strengthen student engagement. Here at Foxwell State Secondary College we have found through many recent partnerships we have a shared goal of maximising student learning and wellbeing outcomes. We get the best results when we are working together to support our students, your children.
Having regular and meaningful conversations with your child making sure they're "Ready to Learn" for each and every day at school is just one way we can work together. Talking to your child around wearing the correct uniform, arriving to school and class on time, with their iPad charged and all other items required for their classwork, including appropriate leather footwear for Science labs, workshops and kitchens, supports our job of guiding them to their best potential.
Our students’ learning success is a partnership between school and home. The reinforcement of what students have been taught in class at home will consolidate your child’s learning and development. The Year 9 team are so excited to see the amazing achievements your children have in 2023. Additionally, we love to hear about their accomplishments outside of school as well, so please send them through to us so we can recognise their efforts.
