Week One of Semester Two in Social World has seen our students across Year 7 and 8 meet with their new teachers.

Social World classes change teachers each semester as students rotate through different Arts areas.  If your student engaged in the Visual Arts in Semester One (Visual Art and Media) they will now have a Performing Arts specialist Social World teacher so that they can engage in Dance and Drama.  While changing teachers can be challenging for some students, the benefit is that they now get to engage with a teacher who is an expert in the Arts area they are studying.  

Over the next week or two you will receive an email from your child's Social World teacher which will outline what your child will be studying and will also give you important contact information if you need to make contact with your student's teacher. Shortly your student's Social World teacher will also be distributing tasks sheets for assessment in English and the Arts through See Saw.  See Saw is an incredibly valuable tool for families to see what is happening in their student's classes.  It will give you insight to assessment that is occuring and will allow you to see feedback from teachers. If you do not have access to your student's See Saw account, please make contact with our I.T Department who can assist you to do this.
