Continuity of Learning Update
Once again, we wish to begin this update expressing both pride and gratitude. We are immensely proud of our students, both those learning at home and those here at school. The effort they are making in completing their learning, in our on-line environment, is outstanding. Students are seeking help when they need it and are not letting minor technological hiccups stand in their way. We are seeing some great displays of perseverance.
We are proud of and grateful to our staff who have had to change the mode of delivery of learning and who continue to support students across the cohort both on-line and in person.
We are also proud and grateful to our parents and carers for the support which is being provided to students in making our Continuity of Learning Plan come to life, at home.
We must remember that we are living in complex times and that we cannot expect things to remain the same as they always were. As a school, we are continuing to be flexible and responsive to the needs of our students. We have taken on board feedback from both parents and students regarding our Continuity of Learning Plan. You would have seen earlier this week that we made a decision, in the interest of student wellbeing, to reduce the learning load for our students.
Our updated Learning schedule:
We encourage our students to continue to be responsible and continue to show perseverance when completing their learning tasks. We ask that all tasks be completed to the best of each student's ability and submitted in the manner and within the time frames as requested by our teachers. Part of students being responsible, is to seek help when they need it. Please remind students that they can contact their teachers, through Seesaw should they have any concerns with their work.
Please find attached the assessment calendar for this term. This calendar indicates the summative tasks, for each subject, which will be taken into consideration for reporting purposes. It is important that students are familiar with the due dates and the task requirements. These will have been communicated on task sheets as well as through daily lessons.
We are, now more than ever, relying on the home-school partnership to support our students. Our greatest concern and priority through all of this is our students’ wellbeing. If you have ongoing concerns regarding the impact that our Continuity of Learning Plan is having on your child’s wellbeing, please let us know.
