As we say goodbye to another term, it is a great opportunity to reflect  on all of the amazing success that we have seen from our students in Term 3....
House Captains:
Our House and Vice Captains have settled into their new roles, as part of the student leadership team, extremely well over the past term. They have made commendable progress in their own leadership journeys and still have a term to go.
From presenting at whole school assemblies, to assisting with promoting and cheer-leading our College Colour Run, they have put in a solid effort in promoting House SPIRIT and setting an example for all students. With our Swimming Carnival on the horizon, I am certain that they will go above and beyond to finish the year on a high and do their best to lead their house to victory!

Student Council:
Our Student Council is well and truly up and running and we are very excited to see their first whole school initiative come to life in Term 4. Our Student Council members are extremely passionate and have some bigger than life ideas which we hope to be able to make happen (in some way, shape or form) in the future. Stay tuned....

Student Leaders:
All of our Student Leaders/Ambassadors have been extremely busy this term, working hard in their many different pursuits across the College. From starring in and producing our Good Morning, Mariners! videos, being involved in Student Council meetings, excelling in their subjects, to winning awards at external competitions against other Gold Coast schools, our Student Leaders and Ambassadors have seen great success this term. We are incredibly excited to see what they achieve next term!
THRIVE (Aspiring Leaders Program):
Last week, a select group of Year 9 and 10 male students graduated from our aspiring leader, THRIVE program. This program was run by Zeb Taia (former professional Rugby League player) and the AIM Foundation, and facilitated by Mr Jesse Way. In this program, students covered topics likes the importance of opening up, being honest and respecting themselves and others. We are looking forward to seeing how these boys utilise these skills they have learned, to spread kindness and demonstrate leadership in the school community, in Term 4.

Good Morning, Mariners!
Over the last few weeks, you have hopefully seen and heard about our brand new positive behaviour program that has been rolled out to all of our Foxwell Mariners in their period 1 lessons. This program has been created and designed specifically for our Foxwell students, to help support our students with making positive behaviour choices, in and outside of the classroom.
Each week, we have a brand new focus area which is determined by areas identified as needing some further development or refreshing.
These lessons are delivered in the first 10 or last 10 minutes of every period 1 classroom throughout the College, and highlighted at our Year Level and Whole College  Assemblies.
All of our lessons are student focused and our weekly videos are 100% student produced. We post these videos on our school Facebook page every week for you to see and enjoy. Please support your child to engage in the videos and to build their own skills and competencies.
Since the program commenced, students have focused on the following areas:
Week 7: Respecting Staff
Week 8: Respecting Peers
Week 9: Being in Class and On Time
Week 10: Revisiting Week 7, 8 and 9 learnings.
We are excited to continue to create our entertaining, Good Morning, Mariners! lessons and videos, with fresh new ideas and focus areas for Term 4.
If you haven't seen our videos yet, jump on to our Foxwell Facebook page to see what all the fuss is about!

I am looking forward to continuing to support all of our students in finding their own success in Term 4, whatever that may look like!
Have a safe and relaxing break!
