By the time students walk through the gates, for many of them it will have been nine weeks away from school, friends and school staff.

During their time away, our students will have experienced a range of emotions, experiences and possible challenges. We appreciate that returning to school may be a stressful time for some of our students and we want to reassure you that we will make every effort to support a smooth transition for your child.

Our students’ wellbeing is always at the heart of what we do at Foxwell and we are very proud of the work that our teachers have done in planning an engaging and purposeful Connection Day for Monday.

Connection Day Goal: to provide space, time and activities that allow students to reconnect with each other and their teachers whilst providing opportunity to identify and reflect on their own emotions using Mood Meter.

8.15 - 8.40am.       Meet and greet and pancake breakfast 

8.50 - 9.00am.       Roll Marking in home rooms.

9.00 - 3.00pm.       Connection Day Activities – NO regular timetabled classes.

Students will remain in class groups.

Students are required to:

• Wear their sports uniform (including hat)
• Bring a named water bottle
• Place mobile phone in lockers
• Leave their iPad at home
• Bring mosquito repellent if required for an onsite bush walk

Students will rotate through a series of eight activities, as below, during the day as a class group. The culminating activity for the day will be a class Tug of War Tournament.
