Principal's Report
This week we commenced our first enrolment interviews for 2021 and hosted the first of our 2021 Information Evenings and Principal Tours.
It has filled me with great pride to hear the positive feedback from our future families. They have commented positively on the school culture, our high expectations, our firm stance for kindness and against bullying, and their observations of the positive interactions between staff and students.
Of course they are blown away by our world class facilities, but these are just buildings, if the culture and programs aren’t there to support them.
I have also received many lovely emails and calls from members of the local community and interested parents who have heard positive stories whilst out and about in our local community.
As a result, we have significant interest from families wishing to transfer to our school in Semester 2 2020 or for Year 7 and 8 in 2021.
We truly appreciate the way that our parents, students and staff are sharing positive feedback and stories about our school to their friends and acquaintances.
Recently I was asked to write an article that provided some insight into the beginning of the Foxwell State Secondary College story. This was named The First 125 Hours, as at the end of our first 125 hours, we had a visit from world renowned educational consultants and writers from Seattle in the US, who spent the day observing what education looked like for the students of Foxwell.

As part of Project 4209, which is our community focused program to enhance the Coomera and surrounding areas, this week we will be releasing our #KindnessRocks4209.
These beautiful rocks were decorated by our students on their Connection Day with pictures and messages of kindness and hope.
These decorated and lacquered rocks will have instructions on them for local families to take a picture with the rock to share on our Kindnessrocks4209 event page which is attached to our school Facebook page.
I am sure you will see lots of these rocks around the local community over the coming weeks and months.

Until next week.
