Facial Piercings

We wish to remind both parent and students that facial piecings are not permitted at school. This is clearly outlined in our Student Dress Code:

A zero tolerance policy is applied to facial pierced jewellery and adornments (other than the lower lobe of the ears) and other visible body piercings. Facial piercings include but are not limited to nose, lip, chin, eyebrow and tongue piercings. Piercings in the ear, other than in the lower lobe are not permitted.

Clear plastic facial piercings are not permitted.

Students who present to school with a piercing which cannot be removed will meet with a member of our Executive team and, in consultation with a parent,  determine consequences.

Hats

Thank you to those parents and carers who are supporting children to wear their correct hat each day. Hats are an essential part of our uniform and children are expected to wear the correct hat when they are outside of the classroom as well as traveling to and from school, unless in private vehicles. Students without the correct hat will be issued with a 20 minute detention. If there is a legitimate reason for a child not having their correct hat, we ask that parent's send a note with their child who then reports to Student Services when they arrive at school to receive a variation slip for the day.

Chewing Gum

As a commnity we are very proud of the world class facilities we have at our College which we access on a daily basis. We are troubled to find an increasing number of students bringing chewing gum to school. Chewing gum is a prohibited item and incorrect disposal of chewing gum is causing damage to surfaces in our school. Students who present to school with chewing gum will have the chewing gum confiscated and repeated offences will result in more serious consequences.
