FUSE Cup
On Monday September 14 the Foxwell College eSports Team competed in the FUSE Cup Gold Coast Rocket League competition held at Hillcrest Christian College. Like physical sports, eSports is guided by a code of ethics where students show kindness and support for each other and the other teams, and compete in a safe digital environment. Will R, Zane D, Jack T, Alfie M, Tyler W, Kaden D, Dion W, Isaac O, represented Foxwell College at the tournament. In a hall filled with cheering, excitement, games lighting, and large game-play monitors, the boys participated well and demonstrated our school SPIRIT values throughout the day.
All eight boys have played exceptionally well today with two of our pairs, Alfie and Will, and Zane and Kaden, making it into semi-finals. While we were not champions on the digital field on the day, we were champions in our care and respect for each other.
eSports has become a thriving business both locally and internationally. As our students continue with the journey into eSports game play, we will also look for opportunities for them to become eSports game creators. In Term 4 Foxwell State Secondary College will host the FUSE Cup Gold Coast Mario Kart tournament. Students are encouraged to join eSports for Term 4 for possible inclusion in our competition team.
