Bicycles and Scooters
If your child rides a bicycle or a scooter to school, please ensure their bike or scooter is secured with a lock in the bike shed prior to the start of the school day. There have been multiple bikes and scooters, this week, which have been unlocked, making them an easy target for theft. There are short periods of time, during the day, when the bike shed is unlocked and therefore, to minimise risk of theft, a lock is required.
Please ensure that your child is aware of the road rules and the protocols of riding on footpaths and/or roads. Please note, there is no minimum age limit for the issuing of fines by the police to bike riders. Failing to wear a helmet is not only an offence but also a safety risk.
