Principal's Report

Today we held our inaugural Foxwell State Secondary College Athletics Carnival at Griffith University. I would like to offer my congratulations and gratitude to everyone who helped to ensure the day was the incredible success that it was! From the organisation of the event, to the preparation of students for events, to the cheering on of students - it all went smoothly.
The weather was perfect and partnered with the high spirits of staff, students, and parents. Participation in events, across the board, was very high. Students demonstrated our SPIRIT values beautifully, showing their perseverance and detemination on and off the field in both official events and novelty events.
Student energy and participation was incredibly high, with a number of personal bests set, and of course first time school records! We look forward to sharing the results of the day with our school community at our Celebration Assembly in Week 10.

This week we celebrated School Cleaners’ Day. Our dedicated Cleaning Team play an important role in keeping our beautiful facility clean and safe for our students. We appreciate and thank them for their hard work and commitment to Foxwell!
Over the course of Term 2, students have delved into history and have explored people, events and civilisations in which they developed a keen interest. It has been delightful to witness our students having deep conversations with their peers and genuinely being excited about what their research has taught them.
It is our great pleasure to invite our school community to attend our Night at the Museum, a Physical World celebration of Year 7 work! On this evening students will showcase their findings in a variety of different means.
On Tuesday we will welcome award-winning journalist, commentator and author Madonna King to our school for a FREE EVENT. Madonna King is the author of Being 14 and Fathers and Daughters and will share with us on the evening what your daughter needs to know about her shift from child to teenager - how she feels, what she thinks, what worries her and what you can do to help.
Parents and interested community members are invited and encouraged to join us to hear from Madonna about parenting and what she has learned through her extensive research for her best selling books, ‘Ten-Ager’ and ‘Being 14’.
Here is a glimpse of the insights she will be sharing on Friendship.
