At Foxwell State Secondary College we acknowledge the Bullongin people, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we gather each day to learn and work, and we acknowledge the Kombumerri and Yuggerah people who are the Traditional Custodians of this land. 

The theme for NAIDOC 2021, “Heal Country” calls on us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction. The theme invites the nation to embrace First Nations' cultural knowledges and understanding of Country as part of Australia’s national heritage, and to equally respect the cultures and values of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as they do the cultures and values of all Australians. Heal Country, heal our nation. 

At Foxwell we will be hosting a special NAIDOC assembly on Wednesday 14^th July to celebrate the history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. There will be many opportunities during the first week of Term 3 for students to celebrate NAIDOC and to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Activities planned include cultural dancers, art workshops, NAIDOC trivia and traditional indigenous games.
