This term in G-STEM, students are pursuing a STEM passion project of their own choice. With the help from their PhD mentors, who are part of the Wonder of Science program, students will explore their chosen project, eventually producing work which will be presented to an audience – you!

We invite you to our Up and Atom G-STEM Fair on Tuesday 14^th September between 4pm and 5pm, where you will be able to experience the amazing passion projects of our students. Students will showcase their projects in the style of a learning-fair and explain what they have learned through their inquiry process.

At the Up and Atom G-STEM Fair, the People’s Choice awards will be awarded to five students based on votes. Parents, students, and the community will have the opportunity to vote and help decide on these award winners during this event.

At the end of this term, one student in Year 7 and one student in Year 8 will be awarded the Spirit of STEM award and a $50 Westfield voucher for showing outstanding achievement throughout their STEM inquiry. Student work will be judged against a range of criteria, including STEM Knowledge, Understanding & Skills, as well as the Deep Learning global competencies of Creativity and Citizenship. This will be collectively judged by College Principal Ms Amor, the Head of Physical World Ms McClymont, and the G-STEM teachers Mrs Moraes and Ms Jones.
