Colour explosion prizes

Students who ordered their prizes from the colour explosion last term received their goodies this week. We hope the prizes bring entertainment and a sense of achievement and satisfaction to the students after a fantastic event!

Well done again to Bailen, Gemma and Kiera, our three top fundraisers! All the students who took part contributed to this event and we will certainly ensure that we do it again next year after the demand from the students who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

P&C meeting

The final P&C meeting of the year will take place on Tuesday the 9^th of November in the Learning Hub at 6PM. If there is a change to this we will notify families via newsletter and Facebook posts. All are welcome to attend and take part in discussions with other families and school staff.

Recycling

Our P&C supports environmental issues like sustainability, and as such, we collect recycling from the school grounds every week and take to the recycle centre. Our wonderful cleaner, Deb and her team have supported this project and have been incredibly helpful collecting recycling from the school grounds. The P&C executives then take bags to the container refund depot to earn money which will be used towards future projects. We are looking at ways to improve the efficiency and volume of the recycling, so both Deb and I will be visiting another high school shortly to look at how they have their efficient systems in place and to learn from them.

How as community members can you help? We have a container for change account C10256140 if you have bottles/cans or poppers that you would like to donate either at the centre or to school.
