The College House allocations for incoming students are updated yearly and based on the first letter of surnames.
The House allocation for Year 7 in 2022 and any incoming 2022 Year 8 and Year 9 students is as follows:
Moreton: A-C
Coral: D-H
Oakey: I-P
Pacific: Q-Z
If you have already purchased one of the college bucket hats in the incorrect house colour, please make arrangements to exchange it for the correct one.
NB. Year 7 2022 students with siblings currently enrolled will be placed in the same house group. Please arrange purchase of the bucket hat which is the same as the sibling's.
If there are any concerns, please contact the College in the new year.
Today you will receive, via email, your child’s Report Card for Semester 2, 2021. If you do not see it in your regular inbox, please check your junk mail folder. Your child's Semester 2 Report Card provides cumulative results for Academic Achievement, Effort and Behaviour across Terms 3 and 4. Due to their differences in their curriculum, The Arts subjects are reported on separately, with students receiving a term result for each Arts subject they studied in Semester 2. Similarly, courses in Humanities - Geography, Civics and Citizenship, and Economics and Business (delivered through Technologies) have also been reported on this semester.
Please be aware that if your child enrolled during Term 4 or was absent for a significant period of time and, therefore, has not had the opportunity to demonstrate achievement in a subject, they will receive a result of "N" (not rated) and a result for Effort and Behaviour only where possible.
During the school holiday period, please take the time to review your child’s progress together with them, engaging in the work they have completed in class, the evidence of their learning in Seesaw – including feedback from their teachers – as well as the information they can share with you about their learning. Good questions to ask, at any time, are:
- How did you go/how are you going with your learning?
- How do you know that this is how you are progressing?
- What are you doing to improve/which strategies are you implementing to improve in your learning and progress?
- How will you know if your strategies are working?
- What will your approach to your learning be like in 2022 and how is this approach different to what you did this year?
Learning dialogues are effective in engaging all partners in your child’s learning so it is helpful to make this a habit or routine in your home.
A special thank you to the following (in no particular order) who have generously donated prizes and / or items for the P&C to use throughout the year.
