We have now completed over 150 enrolment interviews and I must say that I am extremely impressed by the confidence, communication skills, and respect demonstrated by our 2020 students. Our families should be very proud. The excitement is building for the opening of our school and the commencement of the secondary education for our students, and we can’t wait to welcome them all together on our upcoming Transition Day. 

 I invite parents and carers to attend the first Interim P and C meeting to be held at 6pm on 2nd December. We are keen for a diverse representation of parents to ensure that we are truly representing our school community and the needs of the students and families within it. Our committee will have a strategic focus and will work collaboratively with our leadership team to set the direction and priorities for our school. Our next information night will be held on the evening of Thursday 28th November at TAFE Coomera. This event will give everyone an opportunity to hear more information about our new school, see in person the full suite of uniforms and meet more of our 2020 teaching team.

We will also be joined, on the evening, by Linda Pitt from Apple Education who will host a session for parents/caregivers on Screen Time and the digital tools built-in to iPads that help support healthy and appropriate use of technology.

We would encourage all Parents and Caregivers to attend this information night as we will be sharing new information about the planning for the School. 

On Monday 9th December, we will welcome all 2020 enrolled students to our Transition Day.

Students will wear their current school uniform and enjoy a day of getting to know their 2020 classmates and teachers.

Please ensure that your student brings a packed lunch and a drink bottle. There are no facilities to purchase food on this day. 

Our Leadership Team were invited to tour the School Site this week. How fortunate are the 2020 Students of Foxwell State Secondary College to call this state of the art facility their School.
