Foundation School Photo Tuesday 24th November, 2020
MSP Photography will be onsite at Foxwell State Secondary College on Tuesday 24th November, 2020 to take a Foundation student and staff cohort photo. All students are required to wear their full formal school uniform on this day, including formal socks. The photo will take place at 2.00pm in the Amphitheatre prior to school assembly.
Further details about purchasing a copy of the photo will be provided in next week's newsletter.
We are delighted to invite all families to Foxwell State Secondary College's Celebration of Success 2020. This event will be an opportunity to showcase an aspect of every student's year at Foxwell, as well as a chance to view student performances and enjoy each other's company during the social hour.
We would like to advise parents of a change to our 2021 Day Structure.
Learning will commence for students at 8.45am and will conclude at 3.00pm. There are four periods during each school day that run for a length of 70-80 minutes each.
It is expected that students are at their classroom with all required learning materials prior to 8.45am.
There are two break times during the day. A 15 minute morning tea, one larger lunch break of 60 minutes and a 10 minute afternoon tea. The canteen is available for students during the first break of the day and lunch.
Prior to school we operate “What I Need Time”, also known as “WIN”. This program occurs each day. “WIN” time consists of different workshops and tutorials specific to student needs. Students can choose to attend “WIN” of their own volition, alternatively teachers may recommend that a student attend a session/s.
Our school Learning Hub is open and available for students after school until 4.00pm. Students can access this space after school to complete homework, classwork, study or to engage in school activities. Similarly, after school activities such as extra-curricular training and rehearsals will take place as per the activities outlined schedule.
In November we will be asking students to collect and bring in spare small change - 5c, 10c or whatever you feel comfortable donating. The proceeds will go towards supporting our students in the purchase of a legacy piece to commemorate their first year at our brand new school.
Classes are in the running for a weekly prize and the class that collects the most change throughout the challenge will win a class pizza party!

This means your student will lose access to the apps, software and programs that the Resource Scheme provides.
Families who are already on a payment arrangment or CentrePay plan will not have their access revoked.
We can assist you with payment arrangements.
