We are looking forward to seeing our Year 7 students proudly walking through the front gates as the Foundation students of Foxwelll State Secondary College.
Our staff have been working hard to prepare and are eagerly awaiting the students starting also.
Please remember that students are to wear their full formal uniform on Tuesday.
Students will be directed to their first meeting location by staff on site. They will be expected to be seated by 8.50am ready for the exciting day ahead of them. They will need to have their book list requirements, their iPad, a water bottle, and food for their morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Please ensure that all belongings are clearly marked with your child’s name.
Parents will be asked to leave the school grounds by 9.00am. We have the support of a local cafe which will be providing a special deal for parents who may wish to go and have a relaxing coffee/tea and cake to celebrate this very special day in the life of your family.
Our dedicated IT team will be visiting all students in Week One to ensure their iPad is set up ready for learning. If you have not yet had a chance to set up your child's iPad, or have had any difficulties, please do not worry, our team will offer support across week one.
As you all live within our community, you would all be aware that the recent weather has caused an increase of mosquitos in the area. Please ensure that your student either applies insect repellent before they come to school or brings their non-aerosol repellent with them to school in their bag.
We will be holding our first school assembly at 2.30 pm on the first day. Parents and carers are most welcome to attend.

Welcome to your brand new School Canteen!
Hi, I am Alessandro. I am an Italian Chef with 20 + years experience running a vast variety of Restaurants and Cafes but this is my first school Canteen. I am absolutely delighted to be here and cannot wait to meet you all.
We have released a 2020 Menu which will be evolving as the year goes on and also as this amazing school grows year after year.
To start with, I would like to encourage all families to set up a Quickcliq Account on this link www.quickcliq.com.au. This is the school’s Canteen ordering system. It is fast and easy and will allow you to conveniently pre-order snacks and lunches for your student, up to 4 weeks in advance.
Pre-ordering allows you to select from the entire menu every day. If you don’t pre-order, there will be a rotating Daily Special available for lunch every day for your student that they can purchase over the counter by cash or card. All snacks and drinks will be available anytime over the counter. (As there will be only a very small school population in 2020 this procedure has been deemed most effective to allow for a single operator and also is most effective to reduce overall wastage.)
It is also possible for your student to place a Lunch order from the Full Canteen Menu over the counter if they visit the Tuckshop and pre-order prior to 8.30am (if for whatever reason you are unable to place an online order for that day).
We also have a fantastic option for busy families, the ‘Feed Me’ option. For just $35 your child will be fed for a week! This price includes the daily special, a savoury snack and a fresh fruit piece every day of the week for 1 week from Monday to Friday. But PLEASE NOTE: This special MUST be ordered in advance online or over the counter by 8.30am each Monday, and runs only from Monday to Friday, with absolutely no variations.
Please bear with us during the first few weeks while everything is new, and we may still be waiting on certain equipment to arrive. We will be opening our doors at 8.00am on Tuesday 28th January for breakfast with the smell of freshly baked muffins and we look forward to seeing all your children then!
Please see the 2020 (v1) Menu below.
Kind regards
Alessandro Griffo

Foxwelll State Secondary College invites Foxwell families and the Gold Coast community to our Twilight Community Evening - Friday the 7th of February 2020, 5.00-8.00pm
We will have live performances, food trucks, an artisan market and guided school tours to celebrate the opening of our new school.
The official opening ceremony will be held later this year.
We will be collecting a gold coin upon entry in an effort to raise funds to assist with the current bushfire crisis. The benefiting community organisation will be selected by our Year 7 cohort and announced prior to our event.
We would encourage everyone to follow us on Facebook and to visit the event page. This event page provides the most up-to date information on stall holders, food trucks and entertainment.
Remember! This is not just a School event, we would encourage all members of the wider community to attend. Please show your support by sharing our event on your Facebook Page!
