Late arrivals or early departures
Parents, can you please ensure you a communicating with the School when your child is late to School or is required to leave School early.
You are able to either write a note and send this with your child to present at the office or you can call the School on 07 5555 3333 and leave a message on the Student absence line.
If writing a note, can you please ensure you include your child's name, class, reason for the note and your signature.
By writing a note or leaving us a message we will then create an approved pass for your child to carry with them and they are able to present to staff when requested.
We appreciate your cooperation.
Active School Travel - safe and secure
We are an Active Travel School and encourage our students to walk, ride or scoot to school. This reduces traffic congestion, is good for the environment as well as good for the health and wellbeing of our students.
When students bring their bikes and scooters to school, it is important that they bring a lock to secure their ‘vehicle’ and so safeguard from theft. We do have a lockable cage but this is open for periods of time at the beginning and and end of the school day. This could be an opportunity for members of the community or other students to access bikes and scooters that may not be their own.
It is recommended for the safety of students, that helmets are worn whilst riding to and from school on a scooter. If travelling on a scooter, according to Qld Dept of Transport, students must
- keep to the far left-hand side of the road, and to the left of a footpath (including a shared path)
- give way to foot pedestrians on a footpath (including a shared path)
- give way to bicycles on a bicycle path.
When riding a bicycle to and from school, students are required, by law to wear a securely fitting and fastened Australian Standard approved bicycle helmet. When riding a bicycle , students must:
- have 1 leg on each side of the seat
- face forwards
- keep at least 1 hand on the handlebars.
For further road rules relating to bicycles please refer to :
We have had a reported case of headlice at the School. Please see below notice from Queensland Health for advice regarding manegement and treatment of headlice.

It is with great excitement and anticipation that we remind Parents and Caregivers that our very first AGM for 2020, will be held next Tuesday.
Please consider becoming a member of our P&C Committee. Volunteering is a rewarding and fun way to become involved in school events where we look forward to being able to interact and network with all the students and school community throughout the year.
It is not a requirement to be a member of the P&C to volunteer, however if you would like your voice to be heard and your vote counted, it is easy to become a member of the P&C Committee.
Membership and Nomination forms are below for those who would like to get involved. Please submit completed forms to Administration at the School.
